SAP® load testing requirement
SAP enterprise applications and business solutions are amongst the most widely used software applications in the business world. Every SAP implementation will involve a combination of application components from the business suite (SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP PLM, SAP SCM and SAP SRM). Organisations need to be confident that this combination performs appropriately in their environment, with their configuration settings and their business processes. Customer-specific changes and enhancements, bolt-ons and interfaces will also need to be load tested to ensure they will perform to expectations.
SAP® performance testing overview
To help these organisations, we have developed the Acutest SAP performance and stress testing service. This combines the advanced features of our performance and load testing service with extensions specifically for SAP implementation projects. These extensions address:
- Modelling of usage patterns for SAP modules (such as ECC, CRM and HCM) to allow realistic SAP load test scenarios to be defined.
- Depending on business requirements, both SAP web testing (via SAP NetWeaver®) or SAPGUI client testing
- Testing tools to make best use of system resources. SAP tuning can be achieved using tools such as LoadRunner which integrate with CCMS (computing centre management system)
- Advanced reporting techniques to clearly identify and help correct issues and bottlenecks in a SAP implementation
Acutest have extensive experience of performance testing both new SAP implementations and upgrades and modified SAP systems. For an example see this SAP load testing case study. We also have a specialist team of performance testers with experience of many SAP testing assignments.
