Reliability testing
Definition

Reliability testing is the technique used to test an implementation in such a manner that testing continues for many days with a view to the tests demonstrating the overall reliability of the environment under test.

Comment

Many systems have memory leaks or other bugs that will cause problems if they are used non-stop. Given these are hard to reproduce on a system which is live; reliability testing can identify them in advance. This will improve customer satisfaction and reduce support costs.
