Every product or service depends on many supporting processes. It is only by testing these processes that one can be sure that they will work, meeting both the developers and users expectations. Typically, new processes defined by IT staff do not work efficiently or when under stress.


On many programmes and large projects, testing will take up a significant portion of the budget. But it will receive less management attention than an activity of this size warrants.
