The testing of the process whereby systems can be personalised (or become automatically personalized) according the wishes or behaviour of the user.
Comment
As an increasing number of systems automatically change their characteristics according to the way that individuals use them, personalisation testing becomes increasingly important.
From the user’s perspective it is as if the application ‘learns’ from the way that it is uses and modifies itself to better meet the requirements of the user. In fact, there are clearly rules which can be tested regarding how the application changes.

On many programmes and large projects, testing will take up a significant portion of the budget. But it will receive less management attention than an activity of this size warrants.
