SAP performance testing
West Sussex County Council provides services for residents, business and visitors throughout the West Sussex region, and has a gross annual revenue spending of £1.2bn. As part of an ongoing cost reduction exercise, the Council was undertaking a number of changes to its internal processes supported by upgrades and expansion of its existing SAP systems.
Post Office - Virtual testing team
The Post Office decided to outsource their technical testing. The demand for these services was intermittent and there was not the critical mass to create a career path in this area and retain and grow staff. Acutest were selected because of their proven ability in providing non functional testing services and their virtual team solution.
Wales and West Utilities

Testing the infrastructure performance - British Library
The British Library was developing a single entry point for a number of its web resources. The single entry point was a turning point for the Library’s website, enabling users to search much more of the Library’s diverse content from its home page at www.bl.uk
Web load testing - uSwitch
uSwitch embarked on upgrading their existing ASP architecture to a .NET solution. This included them rebuilding all of their core components and developing KPI’s to ensure that the investment provided improved performance, functionality and user experience.
Test improvement and programme testing
AtosOrigin (Nordic) produces products that are sold as both off the shelf packages and with customised implementations. The development, testing and implementation involve many different teams spread across a number of locations. Atos Origin (Nordic) called in Acutest to review the testing approach to identify a unified way forward that would cost effectively reduce the time spent testing.
Richmond UAT
Richmond Council were implementing their largest programme of change for forty years, replacing the council benefit system and the financial management system as well as a number of smaller systems.
BAA testing services
Testing that a series of new business critical applications would perform to the required level on the BAA Citrix infrastructure and would not have any adverse impact on the overall performance of the infrastructure and the existing services.
Outsourced testing for Teletext
Teletext outsourced their testing services to independent testing consultancy, Acutest. Under the deal, Acutest take responsibility for delivering testing and assurance services as well as helping improve the way these services are used throughout the development lifecycle.
