Acutest are a leading independent testing consultancy who concentrate soley on testing software, business processes and IT. Our clients span all the major business sectors and range from some of the largest organisations in the UK to niche companies. So the people we are looking for to increase our team are hands-on Test Lead and Test Management Consultants who combine excellent testing skills with strong consulting behaviour.
Your responsibilities will vary depending on our client’s specification, but on the whole you will be expected to perform some of the following:
• Conduct Test Reviews/ Audits on test documentation
• Create and implement risk based test strategies and test plans
• Lead a team of test analysts in the creation of test cases
• Liaise with business users as well as third party suppliers and senior management
• Work with other test team members to define and create the test data required for all tests
• Liaise with subject experts, as required, to enable them to make informed decisions about the quality of the element under test
You must have:
• Ability to work alone and using own initiative with ability to lead a team of testers
• Flexible with work locations and ability to travel to varied locations (many in London & South East)
• Experience of leading testing on large projects
• Good knowledge of HP Quality Centre
• Experience of liaising with third-party development and testing teams
• A strong knowledge of testing methodologies, industry standards, and tools
• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation software testing certified
• Ideally educated to Degree level (ideally)

On many programmes and large projects, testing will take up a significant portion of the budget. But it will receive less management attention than an activity of this size warrants.
